UNC baseball clinches series with second win against North Florida

The second win in No. 17 North Carolina’s weekend series against North Florida played out much like the first — pitching and a big hit from sophomore catcher Korey Dunbar led UNC to a 5-1 win. Starter Benton Moss tossed his first career complete game, pitching eight scoreless innings after allowing a run in the first frame.

Madison Way writes about the North Carolina men’s lacrosse team’s dominant defense in their win against Dartmouth. Lindsay Masi writes about the North Carolina softball team turning their season around with a change of scenery as they traveled to Hawaii and won four of five games. UNC men's lacrosse leads Dartmouth 8-1 at halftime

The North Carolina men’s lacrosse team pulled to an easy 8-1 lead in the first half of its game against Dartmouth. Junior attackman Jimmy Bitter shook off any offensive jitters he felt in last week’s Manhattan game and scored two goals off of assists from attackman Joey Sankey. Sankey later scooped up a ground ball and scored an unassisted goal of his own in the fifth minute of the second quarter. Youth also played a role in the first half, with sophomores and freshmen accounting for four of UNC’s goals. With 6:25 left in the half, redshirt senior Greg McBride picked up a ground ball and assisted in freshman defenseman Austin Pifani’s first career goal. Pifani was one of two defenseman to score goals in the first two quarters.


UNC leads Wake Forest 52-33 at halftime

The North Carolina Tar Heels followed up their upset win against No. 5 Duke with an impressive first half against Wake Forest and lead 52-33 at halftime Freshman Kennedy Meeks leads UNC with 12 points and four rebounds.

Wrestling falls to The Citadel

Heading into the dual meet versus the Citadel Sunday afternoon, the North Carolina wrestling was prepared to continue moving forward. After a satisfying 24-12 win against Duke earlier in the week, the Tar Heels were looking to build on the performance and have a positive end to the dual meet season.
