Over 250 members of Stop Child Trafficking Now walked the UNC campus on Sunday to raise funds and raise awareness for the organization's efforts to put an end to child trafficking.

College, said the walk was moved to Chapel Hill from Raleigh after organizers realized the state capital was hosting a Harley-Davidson convention over the weekend.
The walk, which ended across the street from Jackson Hall, was the first at UNC, which was one of 70 campus participating in the walk nationwide. Chapel Hill was one of 40 U.S. cities involved.
Stop Child Trafficking Now uses Special Operative Teams made up of
volunteer retired FBI agents, Navy seals, and detectives to track down
the customers in the child sex trafficking industry.
"Others focus on the supply side, but we do demand," Smith said, referring to similar groups who target the traffickers.
"Our goal is to get convictions."
She added that involvement in the group is a rewarding experience.
"I think everyone should get involved," she said. "Children need voices, and you are a voice."
