Bush, Obama called for cyberattacks against Iran

“I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.” – Albert Einstein

Thanks to a report by the New York Times, we may know what those weapons might be. From 2006 to the present, president George W. Bush and Barack H. Obama issued cyberattacks on Iran to hinder their nuclear program’s progress. The attacks caused physical damage to the plants, shutting down several centrifuges.

In 2006, after falsely predicting Iraq’s nuclear ambitions and entering war, Bush was losing credibility in foreign affairs. This enabled the Iranians to not only leave negotiations to reduce their nuclear stockpile, but to also resume enriching uranium. As a result, Bush had to choose between doing nothing and directly attacking Iran with military forces.

General James E. Cartwright offered the president another solution.
