Recipe Blog: Super Bowl Chili Cheese Dip

This weekend, grab a super bowl of chili cheese dip and big bag of chips. This post is for all the football fans on campus looking for easy snack recipes for the big game.

The original recipe is a quick answer to satisfy a holiday crowd; this NFL Super Bowl XLVII might not be a holiday, but it definitely brings in the crowds. The entire process costs less than $10 and is dorm-room ready!

I slightly adjusted the ingredients to match what was most convenient to find and added some tomatoes for a little color and texture.

Here is what you will need:
One can of chili without beans (No beans!)
2 8oz. packages of cream cheese (any brand, feel free to go cheap here)
1 can of diced tomatoes
1 bag of tortilla chips (or whatever you prefer)
Medium-sized pot
Stirring spoon
Stove top

1. First, heat up the chili in a pot on the stove top. The chili is already cooked, but make sure it is hot before adding the cream cheese.

2. Add the cream cheese in the center of the heated chili.

3. Stir the mixture together on the stove top until the dip is warmed to your liking.

4. Put the dip in a bowl, add tomatoes throughout the dip, and put a dollop of tomatoes in the center.

5. Add chips, and enjoy!

Now go watch your team dominate! Or in my case, sit in the corner and cry about the Giants not making it.
