How long have you been working for Greenpeace?

This is my third day.

Is it discouraging?

It is if you let it be. Nine out of 10 people pass you by. You've gotta have hope. We're out here trying to save the world from all the bad people and bad things in it. People aren't going to get that information by going home and turning on Fox News. I feel good about what we're doing and I don't care if people just walk by as long as we are reaching some of them. The connections you make with the few people who do stop make it worth it.

How'd you get this job?

Craigslist. They had a great ad in the nonprofit sector.
