Humans of Chapel Hill for Feb. 2

Daily Tar Heel staff writer Madeline Reich sat down with Bob Anderson, a UNC adjunct professor of the double bass instrument, for Town Talk’s weekly Humans of Chapel Hill feature.

What has been the happiest moment of your life so far?

Wow. I guess when my kids were born, you know? That was pretty good.

What has been the saddest moment of your life so far?

When my nephew was hit by a car.

What is your biggest struggle right now?

Gee. My biggest struggle right now is this guy that didn’t show up for a lesson that we scheduled.

When was the last time you tried something new?

The last time I tried something new? Well, I do try new things now and then... I try new music all the time. I get new pieces that I perform with the North Carolina Symphony. I try new food, you know, new books. New stuff all the time.

What is your favorite place in Chapel Hill?

Well, I’d have to say my studio where I teach.

What advice would you give to another person?

Be honest.
