Humans of Chapel Hill for Nov. 24

Daily Tar Heel Staff Writer Mengqi Jiang sat down with Greensboro resident Kemper Waston for Town Talk’s weekly Humans of Chapel Hill feature.

What are you doing?

I am just waiting for my girlfriend to get out of work here. She is in the school of social work. She lives here. I live in Greensboro. I am just waiting for her, you know, reading a book.

What are your plans for tonight?

We will probably make dinner. Tonight, I think we are doing pasta. You know, regular night. Might go out to a bar later, Friday night on.

Do you often come to Chapel Hill?

Yeah. A few days a week, probably.

What do you think of Chapel Hill?

I like it. It’s cool. There is a lot to do. You know in Greensboro, it‘s really large and everything. There is not much of community there, but it’s here, you know, you can run into people, you know, and everything. It’s cool. I like it.

What’s your favorite part of Chapel Hill?

It has to be my girlfriend. The campus is nice. I like to walk on campus. I might be transferring here next fall. I am still an undergrad so I am looking to go to that school.

What about your girlfriend?

She is already in grad school. She is here. She is from California. She just moved out a while ago.
