DTH Photo Illustration. Bucc-ee's, a Texas-based gas station chain, has officially announced it will not be moving forward with its construction in Efland, North Carolina. Many residents in the area expressed concerns about the potential station's proximity to a protected watershed that provides water to upwards of 7,000 residents in Orange County. Many residents of Orange County do want to see more economic development in the future, but not at the risk of evironmental danger.
