Members of the Carrboro Truth Plaque Task Force and Board of Alderman stand beside the a newly unvieled truth plaque dedicated to bringing light to the origin of Carrboro. The plaque was unvieled Tuesday, April 16, 2019, and details how the town began and how it came to be named Carrboro after Julian S. Carr, a prominent figure in the white supremicist movement and influential industrialist.
