Sarah Strickland, a first year dental student from Raleigh washes glass bottles that Petals with a Purpose will use to make vases for hospital patients. This was one of the volunteer projects dental students participated in for Deah Day. The first annual "Deah Day" was celebrated by the dental school on Thursday. Over 350 dental students spent their mornings doing community service in different locations around Chapel Hill. Students gathered at 2 p.m. to hear various speakers, including Deah's father.
