UNC senior Megan Murphy looks out on Polk Place on Friday, Feb. 24. As an organizer, Murphy explained that she liked to plan physically disruptive protests. “I want to make them uncomfortable,” she said. “And I want to do it in a way that makes them so angry, but also powerless, the way that I see my friends feel powerless,” she said.
