A look inside Hinton James - Welcome to UNC! Class of 2023

We take you inside Hinton James Residence Hall to show you around an eight-person suite. This video will give you a feel for what many of UNC-Chapel Hill's first-year dorms on South Campus are like, including Hinton James, Craige and Ehringhaus. If you're looking for more info on what your living space will look like before you get to Carolina in August, check out our article that breaks down each dorm style here: https://www.dailytarheel.com/article/2018/08/dorm-room-guides-0811 Editor’s note: Although most dorms are technically co-ed, every suite is single-sex. Graham is male-only, and Aycock is female-only. However, if you feel uncomfortable with your room assignment because of your gender identity, don’t hesitate to send us a message and we will help in any way we can. As always, don't hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions. You can leave us a comment, send us a message on Facebook, or email us at editor@dailytarheel.com. Welcome to UNC! is a community created by The Daily Tar Heel to guide you through the first-year and transfer student experience at UNC-Chapel Hill. We want to answer questions, address concerns and provide a community experience for new students to the University. A look inside Granville Towers - Welcome to UNC! Class of 2023

We take you inside a double room in Granville Towers, one of the housing options for first-years at UNC, so you can get an idea of what your living space will look like before you get to Carolina in August. If you're living in an on-campus residence hall, keep your eyes out for our video tours through South and Mid-Campus dorms, coming soon! Until then, check out our article that breaks down each dorm style: https://www.dailytarheel.com/article/2018/08/dorm-room-guides-0811 **Here's Granville Towers' policy on wall decorations: "You may use thumb tacks and small picture hanging nails to decorate your room. You may not use sticky tape, putty, and hooks to mount items to the wall. Also, you may not mount your television to the wall. A cork strip is installed on the far wall of our traditional double rooms so residents may decorate that side of their room more easily." For more information, check out Granville's list of frequently asked questions: http://www.granvilletowers.com/faqs As always, don't hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.
