On April 1, the North Carolina women’s basketball program endured a seismic shock when the University announced that Hall of Fame head coach Sylvia Hatchell and three of her assistants – Andrew Calder, Sylvia Crawley, and Bett Shelby – were placed on paid administrative leave and put under investigation over allegations of racist remarks and forcing players to play through injuries.

The North Carolina baseball team (42-17, 17-13 ACC) captured the ACC Tournament Championship with a 10-2 win over Georgia Tech this past Sunday afternoon. Now the Tar Heels will shift focus to the NCAA tournament, where they’re ranked No. 14 nationally and will host the regional round at Boshamer Stadium. The ACC champions will be back in action Friday at 2 p.m. when they take on UNC-Wilmington (32-29).

Wilson Library is hosting an exhibit about the photography of Cheryl Thurber. Thurber traveled around the South after the civil rights era documenting communities. Wilson Library has taken up her collection "Cheryl Thurber Photographs: Documenting Gravel Springs, Mississippi, in the 1970s."

The annual Rosemary Street food truck rodeo returns this Sunday, March 31 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. This year, the rodeo will be trying out a new location in the parking lot at the corner of Rosemary and Columbia streets, but should bring the same built-in fun.

However, for a group of students on campus known as Carolina Animators Anonymous, Saturday morning cartoons were much more than an escape from reality. Animations provided a framework and superior design in storytelling.
