Update April 11 at 11:50 a.m.: According to a campus wide email sent April 11, the suspect from the April 2 shooting on Mason Farm Road has been arrested.

Christopher Everett has been elected to serve as the 2023-2024 Student Body President, the UNC Board of Elections announced around 2:16 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Update 2/20/2023, 12:15 a.m.: Student Body President Taliajah "Teddy" Vann said she does not recognize her nomination of former Student Body Vice President Sam Robinson to serve on the UNC Student Supreme Court to be official.
Update 02/16/23, 10:55 p.m.: Student Body President Taliajah "Teddy" Vann said the leadership changes in the student executive branch reflected the wishes of her administration.
Update 02/09/2023, 10:40 p.m.: Current Student Body President Taliajah “Teddy” Vann has made a statement on her Instagram story regarding the suspension of 2023 presidential candidate and Undergraduate Vice President Sam Robinson.
Update Feb. 11 at 1:08 p.m.: The final list of certified candidates has Chris Everett and TJ Edwards on the ballot. Sam Robinson ended his campaign.

The Hussman School of Journalism and Media released the 2022 plan of action on diversity, equity and inclusion earlier this month. The plan comes one year after the Oct. 2021 routine review of the school by the Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communications.
