From June 17-21, the UNC music department will host the Summer Jazz Workshop for a variety of students — from middle school and high school students, college students, band directors, and adults. They’ll be instructed in jazz theory, improvisation, small group playing, and have group lessons. Three faculty members gave a concert on Tuesday night: Scott Sawyer on guitar, Lynn Seaton on base, and Dan Davis on drums.
