In a University-wide email from the Registrar’s office this week, UNC announced updates to its pass/fail policies. While UNC pledged to work with Information Technology Services to simplify the pass/fail process, it set a deadline of Oct. 14 to finalize pass/fail decisions.

Update: Campus Health has started waiving the $50 weekend charge for COVID-19 testing and care at the beginning of fall semester. However, some students were recently charged in error (if this is the case, they can contact Campus Health Patient Accounts for a refund), according UNC Media Relations.

For the fall 2021 semester, Indiana University announced a vaccine mandate for all students, faculty and staff, becoming one of the first major public universities to do so. Predictably, the mandate was met with mixed reactions. Legal opposition rose to the U.S. Supreme Court, where justice Amy Coney Barrett turned down a group of students' request to block the vaccine mandate.

As we head into this “new normal” of pandemic life, we have to hopefully say goodbye to our dear friend — Zoom University (may she rest in peace). Zoom has been with us throughout the pandemic. Although we are happy to give up our online education, there are aspects of this method we will greatly miss.
