Update, 6:50 p.m.: During a media availability following the meeting, Stevens said the immediate next steps will be for the Board to consider a set of guidelines — “hopefully for adoption” — to rename buildings before their next meeting July 15. He said the University has a “very elaborate” set of steps for how buildings get named, but there is currently not a full process in place to change names.
