"[Being in a fraternity] is not the only aspect of my identity, and I think that, quite frankly, I want to be able to display the different aspects of not only myself and what I’ve done at Carolina, but also what I want to be able to do with the Student Body," junior student Reeves Moseley said outside of the UNC Center for School Leadership Development on Friday, Feb. 7, 2020. Caviness, 20, is a third-year studying management and society. He said his mom was the inspiration for his latest single, "New." His parents split up when he was a junior in high school and his mom just recently started dating again. "'New' was actually from my mom's perspective," Caviness said. "It's kind of like she is starting over, and she's moved on. I wanted to give her a song that she can relate to."
