Ljiljana Karan, a freshman from Charlotte, looks over a book she created during high school. Ljiljana is an avid participant in Postcards for Progress, a program designed to educate middle-school children about different cultures through arts. "It eliminates cultural misunderstandings and they learn more about cultures through each other," says Ljiljana.
