UNC men's basketball's shooting woes creep back in senior night loss to Duke

With UNC royalty in attendance and the senior-night red carpet rolled out, North Carolina reverted back to its season-long shooting struggles in a 62-57 loss to Duke.   For head coach Hubert Davis, the lackluster 5-23 clip from beyond the arc wasn’t the most damning part about his team's 30 percent shooting output from the field. “I thought we had wide open looks from three that we didn’t make,” he said. “But more importantly, I thought we had layups that we missed. We missed a lot of shots around the basket.”

NC Supreme Court accepts new filings in 2022 Leandro case, rehearing possible

On Friday, the N.C. Supreme Court decided in a 5-2 order along party lines that it would stop the transfer of money by a lower court toward public education in the state. The new Republican majority on the state Supreme Court agreed with the State Controller's argument that the office's potential criminal liability for moving the money was not adequately addressed in the court's November opinion.
