Graduating in four years can be difficult tricky

TO THE EDITOR:Your editorial advocating aesthetically pleasing lighting in Coker Arboretum (""Let there be light" Sept. 5) is admirable but a more pressing need for aesthetic lighting that would benefit far more students can be found at the entrance to Davis Library.
TO THE EDITOR:UNC's housing Web site defines Morrison the newly renovated South Campus dorm" as a ""vibrant"" exciting place to live"" and it goes on to list ""several unique features"" that Morrison has that give it an edge over the other dorms on campus.
TO THE EDITOR: Kudos to the DTH for recognizing ways in which Chapel Hill's rooftops can be used more sustainably! The projects cited in Monday's editorial (""Putting green on top: Chapel Hill roofs put to sustainable uses"") — UNC's green roofs and Duke Energy's solar collectors — exemplify the definition of sustainability.
TO THE EDITOR: After two years of Carolina classes projects midterms and exams I reflect on my greatest challenges thus far in my academic career: trying to find a suitable adviser and trying to officially submit a request to double major.

TO THE EDITOR:I am highly disappointed at the manner in which both The Daily Tar Heel as well as members of the campus community have responded to Student Congress' decision to fund Carolina Students for Life's large fall event.While CSFL's display is receiving critique based on claims of its supposed divisive offensive and unproductive nature its critics are the ones producing hateful and harmful accusations founded on misunderstandings and personal biases.
TO THE EDITOR:As director of the Learning Center I have overseen the life of a wonderful student initiative. The Peer Tutoring Program begun in the late 1980s by a handful of students has over the years provided help to thousands of students in all kinds of subjects including foreign languages sciences social sciences math economics and business.
TO THE EDITOR: Seven years ago, a group of dedicated students at this university started an organization to unite the entire campus and surrounding community. Now as the largest student-run fund-raiser on campus, the UNC Dance Marathon has become a strong Carolina tradition.
TO THE EDITOR:You drank from the Well on the first day of classes. You cheered for the Tar Heels at our last home football game. You stormed Franklin Street on Halloween.
TO THE EDITOR:It is the time for you to get involved with the largest student fund-raiser on this campus!The events of Sept. 11 forced all of us to think about what we can do for our school and community.
TO THE EDITOR:I am pleased to lend my support to the UNC Dance Marathon and to encourage Carolina students to get involved in this worthy cause. The Feb. 23-24 fundraiser directly benefits the families of the children who received care in the N.C. Children's Hospital.
