Improved Thompson aiding UNC defense

It probably wasn't the thunderous dunk that Deon Thompson had intended when Ty Lawson found him early in the second half on the break. But even though it clanged off the front rim bounced again on the side rim and then kissed off the backboard it still counted as two points. Heels miss Ginyard's play on defense

Wake Forest guard Jeff Teague had his way with the UNC defense Sunday night as he constantly drove to the basket for another two points. And while the quick guard was a key reason for the Tar Heels' 92-89 loss what could be most alarming for North Carolina is that the player capable of shutting down such threats spent the entire evening on the bench in street clothes.
