‘Absolutely ridiculous’: Students struggle to find on- and off-campus housing

The University said in a statement it is common to have a shortage in the next semester's housing availability at this point in the year. Carolina Housing will provide a room for every student who wants to live on campus. “Prices for (off-campus) housing are just absolutely ridiculous,” Jaleah Taylor, a UNC sophomore currently living in Morrison Residence Hall, said. “And that’s why people have to live on campus now — because it’s just so expensive to live off campus.”
