Laying out the rules of laziness

The other day I attempted to turn off my light without leaving the warm confines of my bed. After stretching and struggling for a good minute and a half, I thought to myself “God! How pathetically lazy am I that I can’t even get out of bed to turn out a light?” Is there any possible way to justify this egregious act of sloth? But it are wrong to cite “better access to the city’s transit system” as one of them.

Duke College Republicans don't deserve coverage

I will admit to being quite amused by the Sept. 14 editorial, “Rotten at the core.” Aside from the fact that the main focus of the criticism seems to be a list of e-mails whose origin no one seems to be able to explain and whose validity is also questionable, why is the DTH obsessed with a student organization at Duke?

THE ISSUE: A committee of the Board of Trustees is studying the current fraternity rush policy. The recommendations will likely shape any change in policy instituted by the full board. A central question is whether rush should remain in the fall, or be moved to the spring. In today’s Viewpoints, two members of the DTH Editorial Board debate their side of the issue.
