Chapel Hill to see sustainable parking meters

By summer, 40 multi-space stations, which will allow motorists to pay via credit card, will replace about 240 single-space meters that line the downtown streets. Two different models of the pay stations were installed on East Franklin Street in August. The town decided on a model after seeking public feedback.

DPS hears complaints for transportation plan

Students and staff attended a forum with the Department of Public Safety to voice their opinions about the department’s proposed five-year plan, which intends to offset the $6.1 million total annual cost increase to DPS until the 2015-2016 fiscal year by increasing costs to users.
