Fayetteville issues mandatory evacuations amid flooding risk

Roy Cooper issued a state of emergency and requested federal resources ahead of the Category 4 storm, including generators, food, water, shelter supplies and multiple means of evacuation and medical assistance. The Town of Chapel Hill said they are preparing vehicles and keeping an eye on areas that are prone to flooding. Orange County also has a list of available resources during severe weather.
