Someone entered an apartment and stole $100 boots at 6:37 p.m. Monday at 400 W. Rosemary St., according to Chapel Hill police reports. The boots were later recovered, reports state.Someone yelled at customers of Cafe Driade at 1215 E. Franklin St. at 5:27 p.m. Monday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

-?Somebody poured beer on and threw a glass at someone and damaged a BlackBerry at 10:33 p.m. Friday at Kildare’s Irish Pub, according to Chapel Hill police reports.Damage to the phone was valued at $500, reports state.

A 22-year-old Chapel Hill woman was charged with larceny at 3:55 p.m. Wednesday at 121 E. Franklin St., according to Chapel Hill police reports. Sofie Lynn Johnson was arrested after she attempted to steal a pair of silver earrings worth $16 and a jade necklace worth $20 from Light Years, reports state.

A 38-year-old Chapel Hill woman was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon at 10:38 p.m. Tuesday after she threw a meat cleaver at someone, according to Chapel Hill police reports. Ling Fang, of 1911 Ephesus Church Road, was arrested at her home and released by the magistrate on a written promise to appear in court, reports state.

A 19-year-old Durham man was charged with misdemeanor attempted larceny after trying to steal a sign at Smith Middle School in Chapel Hill at 1 a.m. Tuesday, according to Chapel Hill police reports. Randall David Strand-Poole was released on a written promise to appear in court, reports state.

Somebody pried open a window to enter a residence and stole nearly $1,500 in items between 9:01 p.m. Saturday and 10:34 a.m. Sunday at 316 McMasters St., according to Chapel Hill police reports. Items stolen include a $340 Wii game system, a $50 jewelry box, $1,000 worth of jewelry, some of it designer, and $57 in cash, reports state.

A 24-year-old Chapel Hill man was arrested at 1:15 a.m. Saturday at Kildare’s Irish Pub for damage to property and drunk and disruptive behavior, according to Chapel Hill police reports. Matthew McClellan Morrison did $350 worth of damage to a screen and was released on a written promise to appear in court.

Rape reported off campus

Someone was forcibly raped at 2:30 a.m. Saturday at an apartment on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, according to Chapel Hill police reports.The rape occurred at a party, Police Capt. Jackie Carden said. The victim was in her late teens and did not know her assailant, Carden said.The police have a suspect, Carden said.

Police cited two UNC students for unlawful burning after setting a campfire at Umstead Park at 2:41 p.m. Tuesday, according to Chapel Hill police reports. Brandon Fremd and David Jaramillo, both 22 years old, are scheduled to appear in district court March 22, reports state.
