'I deserve an education': Carolina for Every Body event calls for accessibility on campus

Dozens of UNC community members gathered in front of the South Building, holding posters with slogans reading “Accessibility is not an extra step, it’s a step you missed,” and “Disabled and proud.” The April 27 gathering was part of the Campus Y’s Carolina for Every Body event held to protest inaccessibility on campus. Campus Y co-presidents Laura Saavedra Forero and Megan Murphy organized the event.

UNC Figure Skating Club unites members' love for the ice

UNC Figure Skating Club is bringing students together in their love for the ice again after facing inactivity due to the COVID-19 pandemic. President Katherine Xing said the club meets weekly and is open to all skating levels. “Anyone can join, it's open," Xing said. "It's open for people to have fun, or to keep in touch with their skating side or to reconnect with it."

'Do your personal best': Richards looks back on his term, gives advice to next SBP

Junior Lamar Richards' term as student body president will come to an end in April. As the junior public policy and human organizational leadership and development double major reflected on his time in office, he wants to share a message with the UNC community. “Measure failure only in the context of things that you did not attempt," Richards said. "Always keep that in mind. You don’t have to succeed, but you have to try.”
