Bike parking shortage at Kenan-Flagler

Students who commute to South Campus on bicycles have been complaining about the lack of vacant bike spaces. Sean McKelvey, a second-year MBA student at Kenan-Flagler Business School, is specifically concerned with the lack of bike racks.

Chapel Hill encourages employees to drive less with transportation plan

The Town of Chapel Hill is finally being recognized for its efforts to help employees that aren't able to park near their places of work. On September 28, the Chapel Hill town council will be presented with two awards for its Transportation Management Program (TMP) for Outstanding Public Sector and Outstanding Marketing and Community Outreach.

Ride-sharing officially picks up in NC

Yellow taxi cabs might not be the only ones on terminal curbs — the N.C. General Assembly passed a bill Thursday to legalize airport pick-ups by transportation network companies like Uber and Lyft.

Student hit by bus on South Campus

On Thursday afternoon, a student in a wheelchair was hit by a bus at the intersection of Skipper Bowles Road and Manning Drive, by Craige residence hall on South Campus.  Randy Young, spokesman for Department of Public Safety, confirmed the student was struck by a bus and was taken to UNC hospitals.  Young said the student was alert and conscious.
