Finding community in UNC's on-campus dorms, a guide to moving in

Transitioning from living at home to living in a residence hall, often with a stranger for a roommate, can be challenging and scary.  “We’re all trying to live with new people, and that’s scary for everyone,” Christina Ahn, the vice president of the Residence Hall Association, said. “It’s an adjustment that everyone has to make, so really just try to be understanding of what other people’s living situations are like, but also make sure that they know what your living situation is like.”

'UNC Works Because We Do': Graduate students rally for collective bargaining

On Wednesday, May 17, supporters of The Workers Union at UNC participated in a rally during a Board of Trustees meeting. Their demands include the repeal of North Carolina General Statute § 95-98, or the collective bargaining ban, which is currently being addressed in the N.C. General Assembly and makes it illegal for employers to enter collective bargaining agreements with employees.
