The No. 4 North Carolina women's soccer team (4-0-2, 0-0 ACC) clawed back to produce an important 3-1 win over No. 8 Arkansas (3-1-1, 0-0 SEC) at Dorrance Field on Sunday.
The Tar Heels allowed 436.5 yards per game last season, ranking 116th-worst out of 131 FBS teams. As UNC looks to improve that metric in 2023, strong play from the defensive linemen will be crucial to limit opposing offenses.
The UNC Sailing Club has spent time developing in several events this year, and the hard work has paid off. The club has competed in nearly four times the amount of races compared to last year and has finished with six top-five placements and back-to-back qualifications for the SAISA Open fall and spring championships.
Following a shaky two-game start to the series, North Carolina responded emphatically on Sunday with an impressive 15-4 win that was led by its cast of usual stars along with some developing new faces.
