Donations Sheds Light on Politician's Life
By Courtney Hinesley | February 11The family of Raleigh's first black mayoral candidate donated an extensive collection of previously undiscovered documents Thursday to the manuscripts department of Wilson Library. Papers such as letters and personal documents from the life of Manassa Pope were donated to the Southern History Collection in Wilson Library, said history Professor James Leloudis.
