The Spring Finale: Carolina Performing Arts releases semester’s final events

“2021 has without a doubt been an extraordinarily challenging year for our community and for artists across the board,” Chris Pendergrass said. “The season finale is significant for us in that it gives us a way to reconnect around arts experiences and artists that have had a significant local impact in Chapel Hill in a time when that has been, in many ways, not possible.”

New student-run magazine celebrates diversity in the South Asian community

A new student-run magazine launching Nov. 15, called "SAATH HAI SHAKTI," focuses on mental health and experiences of the South Asian community.  For students who feel the cultural experience they have on campus has been put on pause, the magazine offers a new perspective.  While the magazine emphasizes the unique and diverse cultures of the South Asian community, readers of all ethnic, racial and religious backgrounds are encouraged to learn more. In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, SAATH HAI SHAKTI’s editors had to prepare for unprecedented methods of collaborative communication.
