UNC beating MVSU 41-27 at the half

The North Carolina men’s basketball team is beating Mississippi Valley State 41-27 at halftime on the strength of ten points each from John Henson and Harrison Barnes. UNC has struggled at the line so far at the Smith Center, making only eight of 19 free throws — a 42.1-percent clip. But the Tar Heels have been strong in the paint, where they’ve scored 24 points.

Barnes: Still deciding on NBA prospects

We talked with Harrison Barnes at today’s pick-up basketball game on the Granville courts, and the freshman says he’s still deciding whether to enter the NBA draft or stay at UNC. His decision-making process has, of course, prompted wide speculation from many who claim they have insight into what he’ll do.
