A look into the destruction brought on by Hurricane Florence to Wilmington, N.C.

On Friday, the lives of a mother and infant were lost after a tree fell onto their home in Wilmington, N.C. Emergency personnel responded to the scene, where they worked for hours to pull away the fallen tree from the home. The father of the child was rescued, and taken to New Hanover Regional Medical Center with injuries. DTH photographer Jason Armond was at the scene, and documented the destruction brought about by the storm to the Wilmington community.
