J. Victor Garcia-Martinez is a leader in HIV research at INC Center for Infectious Diseases and UNC Center for Aids Research. He was able to humanize BLT mice that are effective in experimenting on HIV prevention, specifically understanding the transmission of HIV from mother to child. One of the most engaging and kind people I have met.


Cats at the Orange County Animal Shelter are not being adopted as much as other animals. This may be a national problem. Black cats in particular may not receive as many adoption. Champ a neutered male, black and white, Domestic Mediumhair who is estimated to be 4 months old.

El Centrio Hispano a Carrboro is a nonprofit organization that helps Latino workers. The office is closing and moving from its Carrboro Plaza location to an undetermined location.
