The Bookshop on West Franklin is home to two cats, Red and Elmo who live there full time. Both cats were adopted from Paws4Ever and now spend their days ranging the bookshelves of The Book Shop. Elmo (white/fat) sits in the children's section of the store, a favorite spot. Red (ginger) snuggles up behind the counter. The Bookshop keeps in contact with other stores in the area that also house pets as part of the atmospheres that make their shops so special.

Kaylie Gibson is a 5-3 senior on UNC's volleyball team. Gibson plays Libero and is from Apex, North Carolina.
