Re-election Certain in CAA Race
By Kim Minugh and Karey Wutkowski | Feb. 23, 2001The re-election for Carolina Athletic Association president remains slated for Tuesday after candidate Reid Chaney filed a motion to withdraw his request for more time to appeal the re-election.Chaney's counsels submitted a motion to the Student Supreme Court on Wednesday, asking for an extension of the deadline to file an appeal of the Board of Elections' call for a re-election.According to the Student Code, an appeal must be filed within 72 hours of the Board of Elections' decision -- a deadline that expired at midnight Wednesday."We think that this could draw out longer than t
