Tracks Music Series comes to downtown through September, featuring local artists

A variety of musical artists performed at this year's first installment of the Tracks Music Series on Thursday, at the Rosemary and Columbia St. Parking Lot in downtown Chapel Hill.  “The main aim with Tracks Music Series is to give music lovers an opportunity to discover new music and new artists,” Melissa Bartoletta, marketing & communications coordinator for Chapel Hill Community Arts & Culture, said.

The Drive-In at Carraway Village to close on July 27 for construction expansion

The Drive-in at Carraway Village, a drive-in movie theater located off of Eubanks Road, will close on July 27 – although it may not be a permanent closure.  The drive-in is set to close because Carraway Village, the apartment complex near the theatre, is expanding into the lot where it is located. With the construction putting more than half of the parking spaces behind a wire fence, Randi Emerman, a founder of the Drive-in at Carraway Village, said it was time to take a pause.
