TO THE EDITOR:
This weekend is the 17th annual UNC Dance Marathon, hosted by the Carolina For The Kids Foundation. Since 1999, the marathon has been run entirely by students and is the culmination of a year of fundraising for the patients and families of N.C. Children’s Hospital.
From 8 p.m. on Friday to 8 p.m. on Saturday, 2,000 UNC students have pledged to participate in the 24-hour no-sitting, no-sleeping event in honor of the families who face exhaustion while their child is in the hospital.
We would like to extend the invitation to all members of the UNC community to stop by the marathon to visit at any point during the event to see what it is all about. If you would like to learn more about the event or the cause, visit carolinaftk.org. Wish us luck!
