Part of National Bike to Work Week

One of the organizations involved in planning the event was Go! Chapel Hill.
In reference to Bike to Work Week, and the reason for holding events like this:
"The whole point of this is for people to leave their cars at home and use any type of transportation except the single occupancy vehicle." - Lynn Cone, community outreach coordinator of Go! Chapel Hill. She said other examples include bicycles, telecommuting , and even unicycles (apparently there are some people who regularly use unicycles for transportation.)
