Whatever comments, if any, that were made about him taking too many shots were probably made out of spite or in hopes that they, not Forte, were among one of the most popular names in basketball. If comments were made within the team, then there was and probably still is a good deal of tension among the players. I think this would be the only reason Forte would want to go pro, since you can't undo what has already been done.
I think as fellow students we should support him no matter what he decides to do, since there is a lot of talk about UNC vs. NBA. While I am sure Doherty has landed a promising incoming recruiting class, the basketball team would not be the same without Forte included in the lineup.
