As an alumna and an avid follower of Tar Heel sports, I read the DTH online to hear the students' version of the sporting events. However, I am very disappointed in your coverage of the UNC gymnastics team. When I was at Carolina, the gymnastics team usually got at least a small blurb and often a longer article recapping the weekend's performance. I rarely see any coverage in the DTH online. When I looked at [Monday's] DTH online, there was no mention at all of the gymnastics team. I had to go to a different website to find out that the team had indeed competed over the weekend, and had, in fact, broken two school records and finished first out of a field of six competitive teams. I believe you are doing a disservice not only to the gymnastics team but also to the student body and other DTH readers when you fail to publicize outstanding accomplishments such as those.
