I was reading the article on steroid use at the Student Recreation Center and was really thrown by some of the comments that were made about very muscular students who work out at the SRC. As a result of this article, many students may jump to conclusions when they see a somewhat well-built individual lifting "excessive" amounts of weight. They may have thoughts like "Yeah, he's on steroids." But please don't be fooled; some people get results the natural way, i.e. hard-ass work. I know plenty of guys who can bench press 300-plus pounds and have never taken any illegal substances. I respect the fact some of downsides of steroid use were mentioned in the article, but I really feel like their use was glorified a little too much. Any idiot who would trade overall health for six months of muscles has some other issues that he or she needs to address.
