DTH Lacks Coverage of Carolina Hurricanes; Fans Going Cup Crazy in N.C.

What is going on?

What do the Carolina Hurricanes have to do to get a mention in The Daily Tar Heel?

Win the Eastern Conference Finals to have the right to play for the Stanley Cup?

Wait a second ... they have.

This would have made for some interesting reading.

This is the farthest the 'Canes have been in franchise history.

The fans have been rabid this playoff season, buying up tickets and jerseys and going to the airport early in the morning to greet the team as it returned home victorious from Montreal and Toronto.

Thousands of fans lined up for tickets for the Stanley Cup games at the Entertainment & Sports Arena, which sold out in about 30 minutes.

Hockey fever has gripped an area known for college basketball.

While I enjoy the constant articles on how the UNC-system Board of Governors meets to raise tuition, articles on how the economy sucks, on-campus parking sucks and debates over the ethics of a state lottery, enough already!
