As I was taking my car back to my parking space, I decided to check something in one of the books I had with me.
I sat for roughly 10 minutes and then left for the 10-minute trek back to my dorm.
As I was reminded by the footsteps of joggers behind me, campus can be scary when it is dark and deserted. After all, only about a third of the regular number of students go to UNC for summer school -- somewhere less than 8,000, I believe.
The point of my story is simple. In slightly over 20 minutes that it took me to drive to my parking space, read for a bit and walk back, I saw no P2Ps.
I park on Stadium Drive, and P2Ps go both ways on Stadium Drive, so why didn't I see one? Though student traffic is reduced by one-third during the summer, does that necessarily entail that student safety is one-third as important? Step up the P2P service!
