"That's a lot of times what tight ends are for," Hilton said. "So that's a good problem to have."
Hilton, who caught 12 passes for 88 yards and two touchdowns in 2001, said he will just try to take advantage of every opportunity that comes his way.
Blizzard, a transfer from Kentucky, converted from wide receiver to tight end in the off-season. Although he'd like to be a significant factor on offense, Blizzard said he's content to do whatever it takes.
"In the beginning, it was kind of hard for me to adjust," Blizzard said. "But now, I wouldn't mind getting in the ground with the big boys."
Although a starter is yet to be named, both players should see ample time if UNC continues to run two-tight-end sets.
