noon -- To celebrate U.N. week, please join the United Nations Organization for a special discussion on Iraq. The guest speaker is political science Professor Jurg Steiner. Food is provided. The talk will be held until 1 p.m. Please contact either Saba Khan (skhan@email.unc.edu) or Karine Dube (dube@email.unc.edu) for further information.

7 p.m. -- Come out to Campus Y's first membership meeting! Professor Sarah Shields will be discussing the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in 209 Manning Hall. This is a great opportunity to learn more about a current international social justice issue and get to know other Y members. There will be free food and a raffle, too.

7 p.m. -- The Advocates for Sexual Assault Prevention will hold their regular meeting tonight in 101 Bingham Hall. We will discuss Night of the Divas. Everyone welcome!

7:30 p.m. -- The Hispanic Integration Program will hold a general meeting in 103 Bingham Hall. We will be discussing new projects for HIP. Come out and volunteer with us!

Wednesday, Oct. 23

4 p.m. -- The Independent Defense Counsel offers students an alternative to the defense counsels assigned by the student attorney general. If you would like to find out more about defending students in Honor Court, IDC will be holding its first training session today in 204 Dey Hall. All potential members are welcome.

6 p.m. -- UNC Rotaract will be having a general meeting and an ice cream Social in Union 3503.

7 p.m. -- ChoiceUSA will hold a screening and discussion in 313 Dey Hall of "Legal, But Out of Reach," a film that uses personal stories to explore the difficulties women face in gaining access safe and affordable abortions.
