Town Resident Blames Students, University for Changes to Northside

Thank you Ms. Eileen Hanan for so eloquently stating the facts and feelings of my neighborhood, my lifelong neighbors and me. My family has lived on Cotton Street in the Northside community for 63 years.

It saddens our hearts as the makeup of our low- to modest-income neighborhood is changing. Changing because the University has decided to increase the number of students by thousands more without increasing adequate and sufficient housing for these additional students and because of developers' greed. We fault the students for their disrespectful behavior in our neighborhood, not their presence, we fault the University for their presence in our neighborhood.
