I was simply appalled on Saturday. All that red in Kenan Stadium -- we should be ashamed. There were State students scattered all throughout the section. Our players deserved better than that. They deserved better than to have six raucous, obnoxious (not just a generalization, I was there, and I was surrounded by quite a few more behind me) State fans right behind their bench.
Whoever got them their tickets should be ashamed. The other side of the stadium looked quite red, this is true. But it is our responsibility to keep our section as blue as we can get it. And we failed in doing that.
So people, please think about it next time we play such a close rival and keep your tickets for yourself or other Tar Heel fans. The State fans are all gloating at how much red they saw, and all I can do is be ashamed for all Tar Heel fans, and you should be too. You can't put a price on pride.
